What is a smile makeover? 

As the name suggests, a smile makeover is a dental service that is designed to improve the look and health of your smile. Instead of using just one treatment, such as teeth whitening or veneers, a smile makeover uses a combination of treatment types to tackle a series of issues in order to produce a perfect smile. 

We recommend mini smile makeovers to patients who do not require extensive dental work to achieve a dazzling new smile. A mini smile makeover tends to involve treatments such as:

• Composite bonding  

• Teeth whitening  

• Dental filler  

• Crowns & Bridges

In the two cases highlighted below the patient was unhappy with the space between their front teeth and wanted to brighten up and improve the overall look of their smile.

As you can see, both smiles have been restored in a very minimal manner. The addition of tooth coloured filling material is there to fill in the gaps between the front teeth. The filler has also been shaped and polished to match the surrounding enamel and was then bonded to the underlying tooth, with no adjustment required. 

For this third patient case, the focus was on whitening the discoloured front tooth and filling in the unsightly midline gap. The patient was initially interested in veneers; however, this case was completed in a more minimal fashion, involving no tooth preparation. This protects the precious enamel while saving the patient money.  

Through our mini smile makeover the discoloured tooth was bleached, and the gap closed by the addition of tooth coloured filling material, resulting in a full, bright white smile that looks completely natural.
